Natural Ring Dancing lovers

 

This exquisite Shona sculpture was sculpted by members of the Shona tribe of Zimbabwe. This sculpture features lovers dancing within a circle, a beautiful expression of the joy and celebration inherent in the circle of love. After being sculpted from the raw serpentine rock using chisels, the sculpture was heated on a fire to bring out the stone’s brilliant colors.
